PNW Adventures | Sunflower Sundays

IMG_6049 Sunflowers have always been one of my favorite flowers, so much so that I got one added to one of my most recent tattoos! In Western Washington I have found it pretty difficult to find a full field that feels as vast at the tulips. Well, on a Tuesday morning a week or so ago my uncle happened to post some photos of this field from his trip out to Moses Lake. In a few days time I managed to have four friends agree to make the 3 hour drive one way on an early Sunday morning & then make the drive back in the same day. After a 3 hour drive and getting what we were instructed was the spot, we spend another 30 or so minutes driving around looking for them. With a stroke of luck and iPhones having locations attached to the images you take on them now we were able to find the cross streets! The sunflowers (once we found them) were on their last legs but everything I had hoped for nonetheless. I'm thankful for friends and clients who are down for last minute adventures, long drives and posing for photos in the hot Eastern Washington summer heat.
