Cody&Morgan//Engagement

IMG_6619 It's not every Saturday I get up before 4 am to hike 2.7 miles to a partially snow covered lake, but for Cody and Morgan's engagement session it was an obvious YES! With makeup artist Margo Callis and our good friend Natalee who came to help as a dog handler during photos we set out as the first group on the trail that Saturday morning. For those of you who have never hiked Lake 22 it's extremely popular and even more busy on the weekend which is one of the reasons we opted for such an early start. I had a wonderful time shooting with this amazingly fun couple and their super sweet pups! From slipping around the snow in dress shoes & slacks to walking around in a dress & sandals on a hiking trail these guys were an amazing pair to work with. I am so thankful for clients who are all about my ideas for early morning photo sessions, sweaty hikes before their photos get taken and crossing over rivers to stand on slipper rocks! I am over the moon about seeing the whole crew again in November for their late fall wedding!
