This year has been absolutely amazing for snow photos up here in the PNW! I have this really amazing couple who loves to hike be be outdoors and wanted snow for their engagement photos. A really great place to go for snow is Big Four Ice Caves because even though they gate off the road you can still walk about a mile into the parking area and then walk to the Ice Caves. That being said there was a fresh snowfall a few days before we went and the entire walk was just beautiful all the way to the end. The caves were complete snowed over but the real view was being so close to Big Four. A truly ideal spot for snow photoshoots with an amazing couple. With many couples the woman is very easy in that she is all smiles and ready for photos but the guy often takes a little longer to be comfortable with all the posing and picture taking. Something I really loved was how easy it was to not just catch Ellen's expressions and laughter when posing with Andrew but how easy it was to catch his expressions when posing as well. They truly compliment each other as a couple. Their wedding this summer may be very hot but man was it cold for the engagement photos! Andrew and Ellen were so great at pretending they weren't absolutely freezing while taking photos and being completely adorable while photos were being taken! I'm very excited for all the boho vibes at their mid summer wedding this year.
