Every spring people come from all over Washington and parts of Canada flock to the little farming city of Mt. Vernon. Why? Because tulips, that's why. Every year there's the Tulip festival and there are fields and fields of tulips in Mt. Vernon, Wa. For me the tulips are nearly in my backyard, I drive there all the time all year round. It's a sight to see for sure, vibrant colors go on for what seems like forever backed my the rolling hills behind them. It's really no wonder that people drive for miles to see the beauty of the Mt. Vernon tulip fields. I ventured out to the tulips several times this year however I went in the middle of the week in the morning to avoid masses because the only thing cooler than seeing the tulips is seeing the tulips without any people in them. My first venture was with my sister-in-law on a lovely windy and sunny morning. Have I mentioned my brother married a Vouge model? Because he did, I absolutely love shooting with her! She's pretty fabulous with a camera herself, so you'll actually see some shots of me in here as well. My second venture was again weekday morning and another amazing sunny day!
